How it works

We find your listings, help remove them, and keep checking

We do the searching, send the removal requests you choose, keep monitoring for new and returning listings and email you progress reports. Setup is one short form and one signature.

The steps

One form. One signature. Then we get to work.

  1. Tell us who to protect

Your name, current and past addresses, phone numbers, emails and date of birth. Brokers match listings on these, so we need them to find you.

  2. Sign one authorization

A short e-signed authorization lets us act as your agent and send the opt-out and deletion requests you choose, in your name. Each adult signs their own.

  3. We scan for your listings

After you sign, our bots search the sites on our list that allow automated searches and show you where you are listed. We email you a summary of what we found. For sites that block searches, we show you their opt-out steps.

  4. You choose the removals

Pick which listings to remove. Where we support a site's opt-out form, we send the request for you. When a site only takes email or sends a confirmation link, it goes to your own inbox and you finish that step with our prepared message and instructions. We never read your email. After you choose, we send you one email that explains what to watch for and any steps that are yours.

  5. We keep monitoring

We actively monitor the sites we can search for your listings, including new ones and ones that come back, and track the progress of your requests. We email you the results of our follow-up check and a regular progress report. Nothing is resubmitted automatically: you decide whether to request a removal again.

Your dashboard

What you'll see on your dashboard

  • Removed

After your request, a follow-up scan no longer finds the listing. On some sites a proof check also adds a Confirmed badge.

  • Removal sent

Your request was sent. We keep checking the site to see whether the listing is gone, and email you the results.

  • Exposed

We found a listing that matches you. You choose whether to request removal.

  • Potentially exposed

The site blocks automated search, but your records turned up on other sites. You choose whether to request removal.

  • Confirm by email or Manual step

One step only you can do, such as opening the confirmation email the site sent to your inbox, with exact instructions.

  • Not listed

A completed search found no listing. We keep monitoring in case one appears.

  • Reappeared

A listing came back after it was removed. You decide whether to request removal again.

Connected sites

Many brokers share data. One opt-out at PeopleConnect covers Intelius, Instant Checkmate, TruthFinder, US Search and others. That's why sites in the same network often change status together, and why we check connected sites again after a removal request.
