Spam calls

Fewer places publishing your number, and a way to check suspicious ones

Remove your number from people-search sites and look up suspicious numbers against complaint data. We don't block calls.

  • Remove your number from brokers

Your phone number is part of the listings we find. Choose which to remove on people-search and reverse-phone sites such as USPhoneBook, NumberGuru, Whitepages and 411. We send the request where we support the site's form and give you the steps for the rest.

  • Do Not Call registration

We walk you through registering your numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, which legitimate telemarketers are required to respect.

  • Spam number lookup

Check any number against our spam data, built from FTC Do Not Call complaints and reports from ShieldApps members, and report spam calls you get. A number with no reports is not necessarily safe.

Results vary. ShieldApps Privacy does not block calls. Calls from numbers already on scam lists, and from callers who ignore the law, can continue after removal. To block calls, use your phone's or carrier's call-blocking features.
